| This here is Fluffy. ( Hannah had the pleasure of naming him.) |
Fluffy (who, by the way, is not very fluffy) was the youngest out of the bunch. He was only a day old when we got him. We got the other black and white ones knowing that we were going to sell them, but chose this guy because he was so unique. We couldn't decide if he was holstein or jersey or a mix or something else. He had holstein markings but no black. So, even though he was younger, we knew we just had to have him. Come to find out, there are some brown holstein. We love how he is so unique. He got sick and we thought that we would lose him. Andrew and the kids coddled him and nursed him back to health. He is still on the bottle and doing well.
So that is our latest fun and excitement around here. Calves are fun to raise, especially when we can bottle feed them. The kids were glad to sell the others that were still on the bottle because it is so cold in the mornings to go out and feed them. Fun, fun, fun....

CUTE! I love the names Oscar and Meyer. Who named those ones? Wrong kind of meat.
